Home visits by parent advocates help families access behavioral health, substance use, legal, medical and other services. Ongoing support groups led by program alumni keep families connected to C4 and offer extended assistance. New workshops on budgeting help parents make sound financial decisions and build credit. Separate curriculum is offered for parents of newborn to seven, 7-12, and 12 to 16. Participants pay $25 for course materials. (There is a $275 fee for parents who are court-involved.)
A scientific study proved that our parenting classes had a positive impact on parents who enrolled: they knew more about child development, communicated with their children better, and had improved problem-solving skills.
