Urge Governor to Restore Budget Cuts

Urge Governor to Restore Budget Cuts

Dear Friend of C4:

Thanks to your help, the State Of Illinois is a few steps closer to having $79 million in funding restored for mental health care and substance use treatment. BUT WE'RE NOT THERE YET.

Unless funding is restored, the impact will be devastating for hundreds of people who rely on C4 services. We've already had to close the door on 150 men and women trying to get back on their feet again after leaving prison and struggling to recover from substance use.

Governor Blagojevich has signed Senate Bill 790 authorizing the state to pay for the services. To actually restore the funding, he must also sign the appropriations bill, Senate Bill 1103, as passed by the House and Senate.

We urge you to take action again. Please call the Governor at 312 814-2121 to thank him for signing Senate Bill 790 and urge him to sign Senate Bill 1103. You can also send a fax at 312 814-5512.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
