Why give to C4?  Because your gift helps Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4) help so many others.  Individuals struggling with mental illness, substance use, and emotional trauma all turn to C4 for help. C4 also helps families: almost one-half of people  reached by our mental health services are children or adolescents. 

C4 services offer hope and healing to some of Chicago's most vulnerable: children in crisis at school or at home, people struggling with homelessness, and veterans returning from Iraq. C4 services also enable thousands of men and women with severe mental illness to live with dignity in their communities.

Here's what your gift can do:

  • Pay for a counseling session for a family in crisis
  • Enable an Uptown resident to pay his rent through our Representative Payee program
  • Pay for a monthly CTA pass so a young student can travel between our sites
  • Enable an older woman coping with bipolar disorder to keep her job and live in her own apartment near friends and family
  • Help a woman who survived sexual assault as a teen-ager heal from long-buried trauma
  • Provide counseling and ongoing support to a father trying to stay sober
  • Help a mother in our parenting program connect with special education services for her school-aged son.

  • In-Kind Services - These can include donated printing, materials or services
