C4 helps more than 9,000 adults and children each year; about 40 percent of these are children and adolescents. A racial breakdown of the people C4 helps reflects the diversity of the communities served:

C4 services reach some of the area’s most vulnerable: 95% of people helped live at or below the federal poverty line ( $19,000 for a family of four). Nearly one-half have no income. For those with incomes, the overwhelming majority earn less than $15,000 annually. Forty-four per cent have no insurance.
