The Arts of Survival
Join C4 for a moving evening of original performances and art as we celebrate National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This FREE event features art, music, and oral performances by women who have survived sexual assault.
The event takes place at:Northeastern Illinois University5500 N. St. Louis AvenueChicago, IL 60625Fine Arts Building/Student Union/2nd Floor Loft
5:30 PM to 8;00 P.M (Free parking in garage, floors four and five).
This event is sponsored by Jean Cozier, founder of the Awakening Foundation, and C4's Quetzal Center which offers free counseling and advocacy to women and men who have experienced sexual assault. Every year, the Quetzal Center's rape crisis services provide life-saving support to 225 women who are recovering from sexual assault.
The Arts of Survival includes refreshments and a raffle to benefit the Quetzal Center.
