SEXUAL VIOLENCE
 sexual assault & abuse services
The Quetzal Center was established by C4 in 1983 as a response to the community's need for specialized sexual assault services. Named after a bird that thrives only in freedom, the Quetzal Center provides 24-hour crisis intervention, bi-lingual individual and group counseling, medical and criminal advocacy to victims and survivors of sexual violence.

The Quetzal Center assures that survivors are treated with dignity, respect and compassion during line-ups, courts and trials, and promotes institutional advocacy efforts to change the negative responses of survivors through public education and professional training.

The Quetzal Center services are free for survivors and significant others and include:

  • bilingual individual (in-person and telephone) and group counseling
  • information and referral
  • legal and medical advocacy
  • professional training
  • public education
