Peirce School Students Raise Youth Mental Health Awareness & Funds for C4

Peirce Elementary School, located in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago’s North Side, has a remarkable student-led service learning after school club called Life Service Action.  Each year, the group selects a cause to learn about and support.

Remembering former C4 CFO Tory Ruder

Victoria (Tory) Ruder, age 58, passed away on April 28, 2018.  Tory was the long-time Chief Financial Officer of Community Counseling Centers of Chicago (C4).  Tory's impact on C4 went beyond her dedicated service as CFO during her time with the agency. She worked tirelessly toward seeking funds that provide opporutnities for many who would otherwise not have the help they need.

Each year, the Chicago chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, known as NAMI Chicago, comes together with member organizations for the annual awards dinner.

C4 is proud to announce that the popular 8-hour public education course, Mental Health First Aid, will be returning later this year! Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) provides individuals with the skills to identify, understand and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
