Kerri Brown, President & CEO

Kerri Brown

President & CEO

Kerri Brown joined C4 in February of 2021 as Chief Operating Officer and became President and CEO shortly after, in August of that year. Before coming to C4, he took on a number of roles in behavioral healthcare, including Chief Administrative Officer, Vice President of Operations, Director of Human Resources, and Associate Counsel. Brown is a decorated veteran, having served as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers. Kerri earned his juris doctorate from the Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and his Master of Laws (LLM) degree in real estate from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar Association, with certifications in an array of professional institutes and programs.

Laurie Mullin joined C4 in June of 2021 as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Office and Board Secretary. Prior to joining the team, she worked as an Office Manager at HealthSpring from 2004 to 2012 before moving to Combined Insurance as an Executive Assistant. Laurie is extremely detail-oriented and known for staying cool under pressure to make sure jobs exceed expectations.

Dr. Annette Love, LCPC

Chief Clinical Officer

Dr. Annette Love has served in many capacities of behavioral health, community mental health, and private practice over the last twenty years. With an emphasis in program development, Dr. Love has spearheaded a variety of programs for agencies such as intensive outpatient, mobile crisis, assertive community treatment, and other critical mental health programs. Trained and licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor since 2007, Dr. Love has also had the experience of providing direct services while licensed in multiple states. Dr. Love continues to offer sustainability and growth strategies, through program and organizational development. Dr. Love’s last fifteen years of experience consist of multiple supervisory and directorial roles, ultimately leading to her service today as Chief Clinical Officer at C4.

Katherine Maitha became the Controller of C4 in October 2020 and manages the Finance Department, overseeing daily accounting, grant and budget accounting, external audit processes, and maintaining policies and procedures. She’s also a member of our Finance and Senior Leadership Committees. Prior to C4, Katherine worked in various accounting, human resources, and risk management roles for private, nonprofit, and public entities and even owned and managed her own catering company.

Brandy Walker

Director of Development & Marketing

An architect of connections and a catalyst for change, Brandy Walker is a leader and advocate for transformation and community. Brandy spent nearly a decade as a public school teacher before redirecting her entrepreneurial mindset to innovate within the non-profit space. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Urban Education with a specialization in Leadership. Prior to C4, Brandy has traversed between developing innovative educational programming, orchestrating fundraising events, and cultivating donor pipelines. For Brandy, it's not just about fundraising; it's about nurturing enduring relationships that underpin sustainable change, each connection a step toward a brighter, more impactful future.
