C4’s Impactful Presence at Lane Tech’s Mental Health Fair

On May 2, 2024 Clinicians from Youth and Family Services and Substance Use and Recovery Services collaborated to participate in Lane Tech High School’s Mental Health Fair!

Our team was honored to engage with approximately 850 teens including 10 staff members and 25 parents or guardians from the Lane Tech community. The fair was bustling with hundreds of students, demonstrating a keen interest in topics such as Narcan and harm reduction as well as how to talk with their parents about drugs.

Youth and Family Engagement Specialist Rosa Villegas recounts that, “The seniors had previously had a lecture on opioid overdose, so the topic was fresh in their minds.”

At the fair, C4 showcased our commitment to mental health education and support, offering valuable resources and information on a range of topics, including medication-assisted recovery, intensive outpatient programming, relapse prevention, and anger management.

Our presence at Lane Tech’s Health Fair aimed to inspire hope, spark conversations, and break down stigma surrounding mental health. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect with the Lane Tech community and look forward to continuing our efforts to promote mental wellness and empower individuals, families, and communities on their journey toward well-being.

“We had many quality discussions with people who generally were interested in our services and what we offer”, Pepper Geiersbach, SUR Harm Reduction Clinician.
